The Mansfield Band Parents Association exists to support the activities of the Mansfield Schools bands. That means we need to raise money – and we need your help to do so. You can volunteer your time by checking the opportunities here. But if you’d like to donate money, we’ll take that too!
100% of funds received by MBPA are reinvested back into the school programs. There are no administration fees or other costs taken out. Funds are used to provide or subsidize a variety of services, from supplying buses and trucks for transportation to events, to buying materials for show props, costumes and sets, to supporting students in need of financial assistance in order to fully participate in program events.
Check out the options in the “Support Us” menu above to view current fundraising opportunities, or read on to learn more about past and future events.
Funds are raised through a combination of direct donations and events.
Direct donations can be received at any time:
- Via PayPal – a straightforward contribution of cash
- Via ShopWithScrip – by purchasing gift cards to your favorite retailers, a percentage of the card value is reimbursed directly to MBPA
- Via AmazonSmile – link your Amazon account to the MBPA and 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases is contributed to MBPA
Events are held multiple times during the year. Some are driven primarily by the students themselves (coin buckets!), others involve the entire community and need a lot of volunteers to pull off. Below are some examples. Please join our mailing list, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep informed about upcoming events.
Each Spring we host a competition event for regional Percussion Ensembles and Color Guards. It’s a massive all-day event that raises money through the sale of tickets, program advertising, food, and merchandise, and requires an army of volunteers to manage traffic inside and outside, staff the kitchen and man the cash desks.
Buy a calendar for the designated month and get entered into a daily draw for a gift card from a local business. Very popular and virtually 100% profit for the program.
A night of trivia and games. A big social event that you can take as seriously – or not – as you want. Bring your friends.
A good old-fashioned bucket of coins.
Letting off steam in an inflatable park, then playing laser tag. Great for the kids when school has a half-day.
Krispy Kreme Donuts
A four-hour round trip to collect a van full of donuts, pre-ordered by the good residents of Mansfield. If there’s one thing you can rely on in Massachusetts…
