Welcome Message from MBPA President Lily Krentzman:
Welcome to the Mansfield Band Parents Association website. This is my second year on the board of MBPA and I am really excited to help support music in our schools now as President. I would like to thank departing board members, Kevin Brown and Linda Thompson and welcome Carol Penney and Kelley Giambanco. Our group works hard to support the band and color guard at both QMS & MHS.
With the upcoming trip to Orlando in February, we want to offer many fundraising opportunities for your students. This fundraising will help defray the cost of the trip and help the band and guard purchase much needed equipment that isn’t currently covered by the budget. I’m happy to say that administration in Mansfield highly regards our band program and is very generous with funds. But, with around 90 students in the MHS Band this year and with competitions and the trip, we will need some extra funds.
Like any support organization, our success is entirely dependent on the participation and contributions of our members. Thankfully, the Mansfield community has rallied around our music programs and our Band Parents organization has seen heroic support from a core group of longtime members as well as from new band parents just joining the fray as their kids get involved in school music programs. To all we say Thank you!
What we need more than anything, is for all band parents to step up and help out in any way they can! We understand that you have work and family life on your plate too… that’s why even the smallest effort or contribution is welcomed and appreciated.
Whether it’s volunteering to staff our concession booth for Patriots games and other events at Gillette Stadium, helping out with fundraisers like our annual mattress sale, offering to drive or chaperone band trips and events, or even just bookmarking this website and stopping by periodically to learn how you can help out. Everyone is familiar with the phrase “many hands make light work,” and it is our goal to live by that maxim, encouraging every band parent to join us and participate in this process in any way you can so you won’t have to do too much, but your efforts combined with the efforts of many others will bring us all success without unnecessary hardship!
Thank you for visiting our website, feel free to browse around and see what’s happening, and please, bookmark and check back regularly to learn what you can do to help keep our music programs a thriving and vibrant part of our kids’ education!
P.S. Come join the board and your fellow band parents for our regular monthly meeting, usually held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the high school teacher’s lounge (across the hall from the auditorium doors). Join our email list by sending an email to email@example.com to receive meeting notices, minutes, and calendar update s weekly.
Are you a band parent?
If you have a student participating in any of the Jordan/Jackson, Qualters, or Mansfield High School band programs, including concert band, jazz band, marching band, color guard/winter guard or percussion ensemble, then welcome! You are indeed a member of The Mansfield Band Parent’s Association – it’s really that simple!

New to the website? Probably the most important page for you to visit and bookmark is our online calendar which contains dates, times, and links to details for events, trips, and performances for all band and color guard groups as well as band parent meetings 🙂
