QMS Jazz Band is a performance ensemble open to all students in grades 6-8. We rehearse on Thursdays from 2-3 and perform throughout the year at various concerts and events. We typically perform in 3 concerts, December, January, and June, in addition to performing for 5th grade move-up night and the Student of the Month Breakfasts. The Jazz Band also competes at the Great East Music Festival, often earning a Gold Medal.
QMS Jazz Band is also a great opportunity for students who wish to perform on piano, guitar, bass guitar, and drum-set. These positions are placed by audition only. Students can see Ms. Pep for more information.
