c. Questions -Several questions were raised regarding the roles, responsibilities, time commitments, and expectations of board members. Aside from the clearly defined Treasurer position, there is no rigid structure outlining specific duties. Board members are expected to attend a monthly meeting and help facilitate the MBPA monthly meetings, but otherwise have flexibility in shaping their roles based on the time and contributions they are able to provide. The primary responsibility of the board is to lead and support fundraising efforts to fund competitions. Additional tasks—such as organizing buttons, creating SignUpGenius events, distributing uniforms, and similar activities—are not required components of board service. While these contributions are appreciated when members have the capacity to assist, they are not mandatory expectations. Ultimately, the focus and purpose of the board should remain on fundraising and supporting the program in ways that help create a positive and enriching experience for the students.
