MARCH MONTHLY UPDATE

CONGRATS

We want to congratulate both the Winter Guard and Winter Percussion groups on their continued success. Both groups are headed to Dartmouth on 3/18 for their next competition.

MANY THANKS

We have so many things to be thankful for and it all starts with you. With everyone’s help, support, donations, and time here’s what we’ve accomplished:

January 14th from 12:00pm – 9:00pm the varsity color guard had their rehearse-a-thon where meals were provided by you
January 27th both color guard groups performed their shows for friends & family before the start of the season
On February 18th the percussion group had their rehearse-a-thon from 9:00am – 9:00pm and was provided snacks, lunch, and dinner
We had a very successful Krispy Kreme fundraiser where the winter groups sold 551 dozen donuts where the funds raised went directly into each students account
March 12th both the color guard and percussion groups performed a Home Showcase to a standing room only audience of family, friends and the community.

We still have many more events and competitions to come, we appreciate your continued support and volunteering.

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

We are still looking for 3 additional non-senior parents to help with the MBPA senior scholarships. Commitment is minimal. Simply need to review the submitted applications and vote for your top 2 choices. Applications will be received between 4/15 and 4/20 and a decision is due to the school on 5/5. If you are interested in helping, please email secretary@mansfieldbandparents.org.

UNIFORM COLLECTION

We have collected most uniforms with just a small handful still outstanding. I would ask that anyone who still has a uniform to please hang onto it for now. As spring approaches we will have another collection date. Please do NOT just bring your uniform and leave it upstairs in the band uniform room unless you email secretary@mansfieldbandparents.org first. If you just leave it upstairs it will not get checked off that it was returned and I don’t want to bother you about returning if you already have.

BUTTONS

If any winter group would like additional show buttons please order through this link WINTER SHOW BUTTONS. Orders need to be placed and paid for no later than Wednesday, March 22nd.

CONTACT: We want to keep you as informed as possible. In order for us to be able to contact you via email, you must sign up HERE. Please forward this email to all your friends who have students in the band. Although Mr. DeJoy can message everyone, we need folks to specifically sign up through the MBPA to get notifications from the MBPA.

MONTHLY BAND PARENTS MEETING: the next Band Parent meeting will be held on April 6th at 6PM in Room 135. PLEASE JOIN US!
