From Mr DeJoy:

Hello All,

I apologize for getting this out a day late. Attached is the week at a glance and some updates. Please read all below. We really need your help in quite a few areas.

NESBA Wakefield
Our first percussion show (and third color guard show) is this weekend and we really need your help making it a success. We need six parent volunteers to help move equipment on and off of the floor at our competition for the percussion. Any volunteers get into the show for free! If you want to volunteer for this please sign up by clicking here. As a reminder all volunteers must be CORId. If you would like to fill out a CORI form to volunteer please let me know.

Percussion Volunteer Training
If you have never volunteered to help percussion it is a very different beast than marching band. We have to be on and off the floor very quickly and have to move efficiently. We ask that if you want to volunteer during the season you come to our rehearsal on Thursday, 2/9 at about 8:00pm or our rehearsal on saturday, 2/18 at about 8:00pm to learn how we operate.

Prop Construction
We are still not done with our props and we desperately need your help! We have many tools and can tell you what needs to be done but we need bodies helping out! We especially need color guard parents to come help build color guard props. If you can make it to tonight’s practice please come on by to the high school. If we still need help on Thursday we will let you know.

Trumbull
We are looking for 4-6 parent volunteers to either ride the bus with us to Trumbull CT or meet us there and help us with getting on and off the floor much like any other local competition. This is a long day and quite a drive. If you are interested in helping out please email me and I can give you more information. Thank you!

Dayton
We are still looking for one parent chaperone for Dayton. As a reminder all chaperones have their travel and hotel costs covered. We are looking for a female chaperone if possible. If you are interested please email me.

If you plan to go to Dayton but are not chapperoning you can book hotels in the area through WGI at a discounted rate using this link.

SEMSBA
Congratulations to Ajay, Nathan, and Sankar on being accepted to SEMSBA this past weekend! Happy to have you representing Mansfield with pride in district ensembles!

Best,
Justin DeJoy
