About this event:
The band and color guard will travel to West Springfield for THE BIG E Fair and parade on thursday september 18th. In addition to a fun day at the largest fair in the state, our kids will represent Mansfield in the annual Massachusetts Day parade that features dozens of marching bands from all over the state.
Faculty, students, and chaperones will travel to the event in the comfort of coach buses, funded in part by the Band Parents.
Departure time will be 8:30am from the high school. Anticipated return time is 10:00pm. The group will be marching in the Massachusetts day parade, a tradition we have upheld every fall since 1985.
The cost per student for the bus is $10.00 cash. The Band Parents will provide a small snack and drink following the parade. Food is also available for purchase at the fair. Typical prices range from fast food $6-8 to sit-down type meals for $8-12.
Wristbands for unlimited midway rides may be purchased for $25.00 at the gate.
Any additional monies provided to students is up to individual families.
The 2014 Big E Field Trip Permission Form will be sent home with students the week of September 8th and need to be returned, signed, and with the $10 bus fee to Mr. Mcguire by Tuesday the 16th.

How you can help:
Band parents can help, first by making sure you get your student’s permission slip signed and returned to Mr. Mcguire along with the $10 (cash) bus fee no later than Tuesday the 16th.
