What is it?
UMASS band day at Gillette is a super-huge, super-fun event for high school marching band and color guard students! There are literally thousands of band and guard students from as far away as Pennsylvania who will be making the trip to Gillette Stadium to participate in this epic event. Students spend the morning in sectionals guided by UMASS band members and learn a marching routine. Then, during the UMASS football Game halftime that afternoon, they all join up in the stadium to perform as a gigantic 2000+ student marching halftime show in front of an anticipated audience of 20,000 fans!
You can find a comprehensive description of the event at the UMass Band Website (this link will open in a new window).
