10/29/21 Wrap Up

From Mr Ketterer:

Good Afternoon!

This week has been a productive week! We were able to fine tune our performance for movements 1, 2, 3 and 4 of our field show. While the weather has not been very cooperative, the students have maintained their focus, and have used this opportunity to further improve their show both musically and in their choreography. We are very excited to compete on Sunday (10/31) at the NESBA Championship in Reading. I sent home the schedule for that day last week, and I have attached it below for reference.

Just a friendly reminder, if you plan on volunteering for competitions or school events you must have a CORI completed. The CORI form can be found on the district website as well as on the MBPA website. Please try to get this done as soon as you can. That way you are covered for the entire school year and can volunteer and help whenever you are able. The MBPA is looking for more volunteers for upcoming events. Please take a look at the link below and see if you would be able to help. All upcoming events are listed on the website. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0a4caaac28a3f94-20183

As a reminder we will be rehearsing from 10-3 tomorrow at MHS. I know that the weather is not going to work in our favor. However, we will still rehearse inside the school working on music and choreography within sectionals as well as an ensemble. Lunch time is from 12:30-1, students should bring their own lunch or may have it dropped off for them.

The sign up to help with NESBA Finals on Sunday, Oct 31, 2021is here:

Important: With 10/31 being NESBA Finals, we will NOT be having marching band practice continue as previously scheduled. We will be having practice on an as needed basis for home football games (and Thanksgiving), and information will be sent home to parents and students well in advance. With football playoffs up in the air, we do not know when the next home game will be. You will be updated once more information is provided. Updates on schedules for Winter Percussion and Winter Guard will be sent out soon. Michael Lombo will be communicating about winter guard, and I will be communicating about winter percussion.

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank You,

Mr. Ketterer
