Band Director / Percussion Ensemble Co-Director
Matt McGuire is Band Director and Coordinator of Performing Arts at Mansfield High School. He has been a teacher in Mansfield for ten years and the percussion ensemble director since 2005. A member of the Vic Firth Education Team, he graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2007 where he studied Music Education and Composition. While at Berklee he studied percussion with Nancy Zeltsman, Ed Saindon, Rich Flannagan, and Mike Mangini. There are never enough thank yous for the endless hours and valuable contributions he has brought to the program. This is evidenced by the successful competition seasons of both the marching band and the percussion ensemble.

Color Guard Director
Michael Lombo is so excited to back as the Director of the Mansfield Guard Program! He is from the Garden State where his love of everything pageantry was born; starting out in percussion, then horn, and finally guard. He was a founding member of the Jersey Surf Drum & Bugle Corps and went on to win a world championship with the Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps. Currently Michael is also Director of the Norwood High Guard Program and Color Guard Captain Head at Surf. Michael hopes to instill his passion for the marching arts into his students. He is super proud of the Mansfield Varsity & JV Guards and looks forward to continued growth and success of the Program. He sends a HUGE thanks to the staff, parents and students for their dedication and perseverance.
Adam St. Jean

Visual Designer
Adam St. Jean is an alumnus of the East Coast Jazz Drum and Bugle Corps. Adam has served as the visual designer for the Bishop Feehan High School Marching band until 2013 and is currently the visual designer and caption head for the Mansfield High School Marching Band and Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Adam is the caption manager for the visual program at the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps and he writes drill for bands in the Massachusetts area. Adam has also judged marching band and indoor color guard.
Laurie Pepicelli

Middle School Band Director / Assistant Marching Band Director
Laurie Pepicelli has been the Band Director at the Qualters Middle School since 2007. She leads the QMS Percussion Ensemble and also assists with the High School percussion. After growing up in Long Island, Laurie completed her undergraduate degree in music education at the prestigious Ithaca College School of Music. There she studied percussion with Gordon Stout. She received her Master’s Degree from Rhode Island College.

Rich Viveiros graduated from Bridgewater State University with a degree in history and political science. He is married and has one daughter. He works as an insurance agent. Rich has been a bass teacher at Mansfield High School since 2011. RICH!!

Matt Vayanos is a music education student a the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Matt has performed percussion for many years and marched in the quad line with the Spartans prior to becoming drum major. Matt was also a snare player for the UMass Lowell marching band.

Mike McConaghy is a former Mansfield High School Percussion Ensemble member. Mike has performed in WGI finals three times with Mansfield, winning the PSCO World Championship in 2015. Mike is currently working as an EMT for the Plainville Fire Department

Front Ensemble Technician
Ryan Enos is a music education student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Ryan is a recent age out from the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps front ensemble where he played marimba. Ryan was also a snare player in the UMass Lowell drum line and has performed with the BU Indoor Percussion Ensemble.
Samantha Bodo

Front Ensemble Technician
Samantha Bodo studies percussion performance at UMass Lowell. She graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 2016, was heavily involved in their music program, and returned there to teach the following year. She now teaches for Everett High and Mansfield High School, and spends her summers as a member of the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps front ensemble.

Molly Drain, Instructor for Junior Varsity Guard is a Mansfield High School Alumnus and has been working with the Color Guard Program since last Fall. Molly marched with Mansfield for all four years of high school and performed at the WGI World Championships during that time.

Color Guard Instructor
Erin Brady, Instructor for Junior Varsity Guard, is a recent age out from Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps’ award winning color guard section. Erin has great experience performing in the color guard activity. Erin is also a teacher with the King Phillip High School Marching Band where she teaches the US Bands Champion color guard section.

Visual Technician / Movement and Dance
Laura Brophy studied vocal performance and music education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. As a member of different university choirs and the marching band, she was afforded many performance opportunities. Laura has been teaching in the music department at Mansfield High School since 2014. Her current classes include dance and guitar. This is her first year working with the percussion ensemble.
