MPBA Monthly Meeting

September 4, 2025 @ 6:00pm

  1. Welcome
  1. Financials
    1. Invoices will be going out over the next 2 weeks
    2. Please try and pay promptly
    3. If you need FA please reach out
    4. Financial totals 53.390.34
    5. Significant deposits/expenses: Gillette, BBQ and uniforms
    6. Updating Gillette credits in the next few weeks
  1. Football Game
    1. Sign Up Full (TY)
    2. Arrival by 6:30 if you want to walk over with the band 
    3. Hats are in but they will not be wearing them
    4. Shoes and gloves are not in yet so wear your own black shoes unless Justin emails otherwise
  1. 9/27 Competition
    1. Sign Up to Come Out Shortly
    2. Seeking a second person who is willing to drive the 27 foot truck for competitions
    3. Frani provided a competition 101 for new parents who are interested in attending or volunteering
  1. Uniforms
    1. TY to everyone that helped get the uniforms done by tomorrow
    2. All items (shoes, gloves, hats, show shirts, polo shirts) have been ordered
    3. If you child fit into a pair of shoes we had, they were given to them (no charge)
    4. LABEL/LABEL/LABEL – please be sure to label all uniform items
    5. Please wear black t-shirts under uniform until show shirts come in and crew cut black socks
  1. CORI
    1. All CORI’s have been submitted.  If you haven’t done one and think you will volunteer at some point, please fill one out and return to QMS during school hours or Town Hall HR dept.
    2. CORi’s are good for 3 years now at all 4 district schools
  1. Homeshow
    1. It will be a small show (4 bands)
    2. Scale will be smaller than we are used to attending but a good place to start
    3. Please be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities.  We will need lots of volunteers to make the day run smoothly and be successful
    4. We will be selling small low key snacks with a fall theme
    5. Online QR code will be used for the program verses a booklet
    6. Suggestion – explore scout groups to help with parking for community service
    7. Next meeting will be held on 8/9 at 6:30
  1. Fundraising
    1. Calendar/Want to Build a Snowman (unfunraiser) – will be combining them this year amd details to come
    2. Seeking parents to help with connecting with local businesses for the raffle calendar 
    3. Cans – just got a check for $500
    4. Band store will be up and running hopefully this weekend
    5. Jakes and Joes dinning for dollars TBD but hopefully next month
    6. Explorings funs2org as a shoe drive
    7. Exploring a Metlife specific fundraiser 
  1. Gillette
    1. Contest – Thanks to the Ault Family
    2. Coordinators – seeking two new Gillette coordinators 
    3. Still need volunteers – please sign up to help the band programs continue to run
    4. Looking to assign class nights to Gillette games to enlist help from other families
