Hello All,
I hope that you are enjoying the nice weather and getting a bit of sunshine! Below is the week at a glance and information on upcoming events.
Class Day
Students will be playing at class day on Thursday, June 1st during the school day. This is for all band students. Please report to the auditorium directly at the beginning of the day. We will be playing the National Anthem and Pomp and Circumstance. Dress for the event will be band polos and black shorts/pants.
After class day we will report to the auditorium for seniors to give their final farewells to the band. Students will return to class afterwards.
Graduation
All band students are required to play at graduation. Graduation is on Sunday, June 4th at the Xfinity center. Call time for non-graduating seniors will be 11:00am. Graduating seniors please be with the band by 11:30am so we can do a quick run through. The ceremony should be over by 3:30pm at the latest. Dress will be concert black. Please keep an eye on the weather and dress appropriately. Please keep in mind we will be in the shade.
Underclassmen winds players must bring their instrument to and from the event. Percussionists will have their instruments delivered to Xfinity. Senior band members will have their instrument taken care of by someone else.
Spring Training
Spring Training will take place in June of this year. We will also hold a few rehearsals in the summer prior to band camp. These rehearsals are mandatory for all who plan to do marching band in the fall. More info on spring training and band camp is attached here. If there are any conflicts regarding vacations, summer camps, etc. please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!
