Hello All,
Below is the week at a glance and information on upcoming events.
Spring Concert
The MHS Spring concert is on Wednesday, May 24th at 7:00pm at the MHS auditorium. Come check out our seniors’ last concert! Students should wear concert black and arrive by 6:15pm.
Concert Dress Rehearsal
The concert band has a dress rehearsal for the concert on Monday, May 22nd from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Memorial Day
All honors band students must attend the memorial day parade on Monday, May 29th. CP students are more than welcome to attend. Attire will be black pants, black shoes, and band polos (coming soon). Call time is 9am and should end by about 11am.
Leadership Training
We still have two leadership training sessions for students on Tuesday the 16th and Thursday the 18th at 6pm. If a student wants to be a drum major or section leader they must attend 2 out of 3 of these training sessions. If you can not make 2 of these but still want to be a student leader please contact me.
Spring Training
Spring Training will take place in June of this year. We will also hold a few rehearsals in the summer prior to band camp. These rehearsals are mandatory for all who plan to do marching band in the fall. More info on spring training and band camp is attached here. If there are any conflicts regarding vacations, summer camps, etc. please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!
Graduation
All band students are required to play at graduation. Graduation is on Sunday, June 4th at the Xfinity center. Call time is still being finalized but will likely be 10am. The ceremony should be over by 4:00pm at the latest. Dress will be black pants, black shoes, and band polos (coming soon). More details to follow next week.
