Hello All,

Congratulations on making it to April and having a great competitive weekend. Before you know it the year will be over. Attached is the week at a glance and some updates.

Week At a Glance – 4_3_23

Congratulations
We had all of our students compete this past weekend in either MICCA or NESBA Winter Finals. The Mansfield High School Concert Band earned a bronze medal at the MICCA festival on Friday in Foxboro

The Mansfield Minis Color Guard scored 95.22 at NESBA finals earning them first place and the title of Local Scholastic Regional A Champions.

The Mansfield Varsity Color Guard scored a 92.11 at NESBA finals earning them fourth place in their division.

Varsity Color Guard member Molly M was awarded the Memorial Scholarship from the Massachusetts Judges Association at NESBA finals.

The Mansfield High School Winter Percussion Ensemble scored a 86.85 at NESBA finals earning them first place and the title of Scholastic National Open Champions.

Winter Banquet
The Winter Percussion and Guard (mini & varsity) Banquet is on Sunday, April 30th at 5pm at the Norton Country Club. To clarify, both minis and varsity guards are invited to attend. Cost is $35/guest and there is no charge for students. Please complete the linked Banquet Form no later than Sunday, April 16th.

A Night of Jazz and Percussion
Catch the MHS and QMS concert percussion ensembles and jazz bands on Wednesday, April 12th at 7:00pm. This concert is mandatory for all jazz band members and all concert band percussionists.

MBPA Board Positions
If you are interested in serving on the MBPA board next year, please email Jenn Walsh – president. Thank you to those that have already expressed an interest. Please formalize by emailing Jenn.

Uniform Collection
As spring approaches we will announce another collection date soon. Please do NOT just bring your uniform and leave it upstairs in the band uniform room unless you email secretary first. If you just leave it upstairs it will not get checked off that it was returned and I don’t want to bother you about returning if you already have.

Band Parents Meeting Changed
The next Band Parent meeting will be held TODAY, APRIL 4th at 6PM in Room 135.
