Good Morning,
I apologize for the late notice, and I hope that everyone will be able to make it, but I am requesting a parent and student meeting tonight (Tuesday March 1) at the start of percussion rehearsal at 6pm in the MHS auditorium.
With the loosened guidelines on travel and out of state trips as of Feb 28, I have submitted and obtained approval (received today) for the percussion ensemble to travel and compete in the WGI Regional held in Monroe New Jersey on March 26. With the home show being cancelled and our inability to perform at Dayton, I want to provide our students with a memorable learning experience and performance opportunity. If parents and students are onboard, the plan is to leave for this regional competition on Friday March 25 after school and return on Sunday March 27.
I know this is a tight turn around but we wouldn’t be able to make it happen without a fantastic administration and school committee, great staff, and a wonderful parent organization. Tonight’s meeting will cover the itinerary and the cost of the trip, and allow for the MBPA to discuss a fundraising opportunity which will directly help with this trip, and provide a platform for questions.
Please let me know if you cannot attend tonight’s meeting.
