HOME SHOW MEETING:
It’s that time of year again!!! Our Winter Guard and Percussion Home Show will be held on Saturday, March 7th. It will be here before we know it. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Home Show, it is a day of Winter Guard and Percussion Ensemble competition which the MBPA hosts in the Mansfield High School gym. It’s a fun event with a lot of moving parts. We will be holding our next planning meeting for this years show on Monday evening, January 13th at 6:00 PM at the high school. Hope to see you there!
CASINO NIGHT PLANNING COMMITTEE:
WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE….The MBPA is pairing with the Performing Arts Department to host a Casino Night Gala fundraising event on Friday May 1st. We have many plans and ideas for this event which we anticipate will be a very successful fundraiser for all groups involved. There will be much more info forthcoming on this event, but until then we will be holding a Casino Night planning meeting on Thursday January 9th at 6:30 at the home of one of our members. Please email Deborah Stratton if you would like to be part of this planning committee. We are really looking forward to this event and would love to have lots of assistance so we can make a lot of money for these programs!
PERCUSSION AND GUARD WINTER SPONSORSHIPS:
We are putting the final touches on the sponsorship assignments for Winter Guard and Percussion. We will let you know as soon as those assignments are sent home with your students. If you have any questions at all about this process, please feel free to reach out to Deborah Stratton
SCRIPS GIFT CARDS:
We have begun a new fundraiser which is a win win for everyone. You can purchase gift cards that you would buy anyways and a percentage of that sale will go back to the band program. All info can he found HERE.
This fundraiser proved to be more successful than we had anticipated with the kids bringing in over $1300 in spare change Though this fundraiser as planned has technically finished, we are going to continue to leave the coin collection containers in the band room so kids can continue dropping in spare change throughout the year. We would like to thank all students and families who sent in your coins. THANK YOU ALL!!
We have officially finished out very successful Gillette season. Thank you to all that volunteered for shifts this year making this one of our most successful years yet! A HUGE THANK YOU to our Gillette Coordinator, Aaron Nicodemus who has done an amazing job and been a strong advocate for our program all season! We are so grateful for all of your time you have volunteered to make this fundraiser so incredibly successful this year!! AWESOME JOB AARON!!
