Our next competition will be held this coming Saturday, October 12th at Wakefield High School (60 Farm Street, Wakefield MA). We need lots of volunteers for this one, everyone has been amazing filling the volunteer slots on Sign-Up Genius. Please sign up HERE if you can lend a hand this week. All volunteers, please meet in the truck lot no later than 6:50PM! Earlier this week Mr. McGuire sent out an email with important information for this week’s competition. That information can be found HERE. Admission to the show is $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children. Mansfield is scheduled to perform at 7:35PM. LETS HAVE A GREAT TURNOUT AND A LOUD CHEERING SECTION TO SHOW THESE KIDS HOW PROUD WE ARE OF ALL THEIR HARD WORK!! TRIVIA AND GAME NIGHT FUNDRAISER:Do you know what SJOELBAK is? NO you say? Come on GUYS… you know who you are… some serious bragging rights at stake here!!! Purchase your tickets here: Prize-A-Day Calendar SalesToday we officially launched our Prize-A-Day Calendar sale. This fundraiser has potential to raise significant money for the band program. Our Vice President, Deborah Stratton has worked for several months to obtain 30 donated gift cards from local businesses which will be raffled off each day during the month of November. Kids should have picked up calendars last night at practice. If they don’t have them already, please encourage them to pick some up in the band room. Calendars sell for just $10 and are already getting huge interest and buzz via just a couple of peoples’ social media posts. Please write a quick post…talk to your friends and family. This fundraiser is virtually 100% PROFIT for our program!!! Sell a few calendars and support our amazing local business efforts at the same time! CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE AND TWITTERHave you ever had to go hunting through your inbox to find the last newsletter? Can’t remember the competition schedule, or where to sign up as a volunteer? Then check out our updated website with easy-to-find links to all the latest news, events and information – right on the homepage. While you’re at it, follow us on Twitter to get notifications when new information is posted: @Mansfield_BPA is where you’ll find us (don’t forget the “_”). COIN COLLECTION:All marching band students should have picked up coin collection containers outside of Mr. McGuire’s office. We are asking students and families to simply put the containers on their counters and fill with spare change as able. Students will then return the containers to school throughout the marching band season and fill a five gallon water jug. If the kids as a group are able to fill the jug then they are going to earn a student vs staff/alumni touch football game! GILLETTE:We have had a busy year so far at Gillette! The Patriots are looking strong and we still have a lot of football season in front of us. Please volunteer to help us fill those empty slots! We need your continued help to make it successful. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE VOLUNTEERED! If you have never done Gillette before, have no fear, we will walk you through it step by step and you won’t have to deal with any traffic!!! Please sign up for a couple of events to help keep this program funded for the kids! If you have any questions about Gillette, please contact our Gillette Coordinator, Aaron Nicodemus. Late arrivals are always welcome. Currently we NEED help for these upcoming events. Positions are still open and we need volunteers ASAP!
