The NESBA Champion Mansfield High School Percussion Ensemble has taken their “Sketches of a Latin Groove” 2013 show on the road to Dayton Ohio for the WGI World Championships. In the preliminary round on Thursday night (4/18) They are going head-to-head with 11 other concert scholastic open groups including groups from South Carolina, North Carolina, Illinois, California, New Hampshire, Indiana, Virginia, Mississippi, Michigan and Tennessee. Of the 12 groups competing in the preliminary round, 7 will advance to the World Championship round to be played out Friday night at the Wright State University Nutter Center Arena.

Mansfield Percussion emerges from the preliminary round in 2nd place with a score of 95.25, just 6/10ths of a point out of first place! A gap that can be easily overcome in the Championship round. Go Mansfield!
