MANSFIELD BAND PARENTS
DECEMBER 2025 UPDATES
Happy December All. We will be sending this newsletter to both current and alumni members as we have some information that we are trying reach as many as possible. I will try and keep that information to the top of the newsletter.
As we come to the close of 2025, I would like to take a moment on behalf of the board, Mr. DeJoy, and the students to send a heartfelt thanks to everyone that has donated their time, food, crafts, sewing abilities, prop making abilities, money and most all all your support. We cannot do this alone and we truly have a great village to help our students succeed and enjoy this program.
Please note that we had to cancel our Holiday Drop Your Child Off Day due to low attendence. We are hoping to try again after the 1st of the year.
SHOE DONATIONS:
Thanks to your donations, we have collected 31 bags of shoes. At 25 pairs per bag that 775 pairs of shoes. We have official come to the end of the fundraiser, however we do have a small grace period as we wait for the date the shoes will be picked up. If you still have shoes you want to donate, please email president@mansfieldbandparents.org to arrange drop off and we will add them to to the pile.
CAN/BOTTLE RECYCLING DRIVE
Heading into the holiday season, many will be hosting family and friends to celebrate together. Please remember that we have an ongoing fundraiser with Mansfield Redemption Center located at 45 Forbes Blvd, across from Stop & Shop. Simply bring your cans & bottles there and let them know you are donating them for Mansfield Band Parents. Gets them out of your basement and helps the band – WIN/WIN
WINTER UNFUNDRAISER / BUSINESS SPONSORS
Althouh the Unfundraiser’s current focus is on Winter Percussion, our fundraiser will raise funds for this season as well as allow us to replenish funds for ALL programs. The more funds we raise, the more bells and whistles we are able to provide the band, marching band, guard, and percussion groups. It’s a fundraiser that is tax deductable, can be matched if your company has a matching program, and shared with friends and family. We appreciate any donation. Donation In-Kind letters will be provided.
MILES UNFUNDRAISER FLYER
Additionally, we created a business sponsor fundraiser. Do you or a family member own a business or perhaps you work for a company that likes to support the performing arts. Please use this flyer for these type of donations. Depending on your level of donation, we will show our appreciation with Social Media posts, add your logos to our show shirts, and include your business’ name in our concert program. We would love to share with everyone the businesses who support us. If you have any questions please reach out. Donation In-Kind letters will be provided.
BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP FLYER

REMINDER NEW MEETING TIME
- Just a reminder that the MBPA General Meeting is now being held at 6:30PM each month. Meetings are usually the 1st Thursday of the month and held in the high school choir room. Since there is always practice happening during our meetings, the band door is unlocked for you to use. It will cut down on waiting for someone to open the main entrance door.
MARCHING BAND UNIFORMS RETURNED
- Please make sure that your student returns their uniform to the uniform room as soon as possible. We need to inventory everything and get it ready for fittings in August. Please also make sure that all personal items are removed from the garment bag.
GILLETTE – CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP
We can still use a few more people for the January 4th Pats Game. Please consider signing up.
Thank you to everyone that has volunteered over the course of this contracted season. For those that worked an event between August & January your students name will be entered – once for each event worked – for our raffle entry to win one of two getaway weekend on the Cape. This generous gift is due to the generosity of the Ault Family. Winners will be pulled at the February meeting.
CLICK HERE to get a more detailed overview of Gillette and the expectation of involvement.
Please remember that to keep Gillette – OUR LARGEST FUNDRAISER – active we not only need volunteers to staff the booth but we are also looking for:
- 2 people to learn what being a Gillette Coordinator is all about. If you are interested please reach out to either Guy Tomase or Katherine Chaloupka at gillette2@mansfieldbandparents.org
- Additional people to be Serve Safe to help ensure the stand is run safely
- People to learn how to manage the kitchen
- People to learn how to manage the stand
