Hello Band Families,
The end of the year is here! I want to thank you for such a rewarding and inspiring year. It has been a pleasure to be the high school band director here in Mansfield this past year and I look forward to next year. If I don’t see you I hope you enjoy the summer and I’ll see you soon! Below is this year’s final week at a glance and some updates.
Disney Trip
Pending our audition application we will be heading to Disney next year during April break! This trip will be for all marching and concert band students who will be in high school next school year. We have a parent meeting today at 6:00pm to discuss Disney. If you have any questions please put them in this google form and we will answer them at the meeting and send out answers to popular questions later this week.
Spring Training
Spring Training finishes up this week. Please reference the schedule attached here. Please note that we have cancelled the July 11th rehearsal due to a conflicting town event. Before band camp there are a few summer rehearsals. I will not be sending out emails prior to these rehearsal dates so put them in your calendar!
8th Graders and Marching Band
Marching band next year will only be for high school students. Any student in 8th grade next year may not participate in Fall marching band.
Fall Band Schedule
Attached here is a DRAFT of the fall band schedule. Please plan around these dates. You can navigate through the different months at the bottom. I will present a finalized full year schedule in August.
Uniform Collection
If you still have a marching band uniform at home we will have a final dropoff date of June 22nd at 6:00pm. All students must return their uniform.
